If you or someone you love has been diagnosed with cancer, Arrowhead Hospital is here to help. Medical, surgical, and radiation oncology services complement our diagnostic capabilities to provide comprehensive care for those with cancer. Arrowhead Hospital brings together the specialists and services to meet the unique needs of cancer patients and their families.

Cancer Resource Center
Of course, caring for your family involves more than just diagnosing and treating the disease. The Cancer Resource Center offers support groups and educational classes designed to help patients and family members understand and cope with the disease. Classes are taught by physicians, medical oncologists, nurses, nutritionists, psychologists, or other health care professionals, all of whom are certified by the American Cancer Society. Cancer Resource Center Location
The Cancer Resource Center is located in Arrowhead Medical Plaza 2, 18700 N. 64th Drive, Ste. 105 and is open weekdays from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Our staff is also available by appointment call 623.561.7123.

Reaching Out
“Reaching Out” is a breast cancer support group facilitated by Jacqueline Manker co-sponsored with Arrowhead Hospital and the American Cancer Society. This support group will help those diagnosed with breast cancer and their loved ones receive practical information, understand the feelings and assist with developing individual methods of coping. This group is free of charge.

US...TOO
US...TOO Prostate Cancer Support Group is for those newly diagnosed with prostate cancer and survivors of prostate cancer who want additional information to help them in understanding their diagnosis and course of treatment.  This course is free of charge.

Look Good...Feel Better
Look Good…Feel Better is a free, non-medical, brand-neutral, national public service for women with cancer. This unique program teaches beauty techniques to help enhance appearance and self-image during cancer related treatments. Corporate sponsors support this program and there is not charge to patients. Although there is no fee to patients for this program, class size is limited so appointments are necessary. Please call 623.561.7123.

I Can Cope
An educational program provided in a supportive environment for adults with cancer and their loved ones. The program offers several courses designed to help participants cope with their cancer experience by increasing their knowledge, positive attitude, and skills.

Taking Charge of Money Matters
Co-sponsored by American Cancer Society, this workshop covers financial concerns that may arise during or after cancer treatment. Topics include, insurance, disability, cash flow, and employment issues for people with cancer and their loved ones, regardless of health insurance status.

You may attend any of the support groups and classes on a drop-in basis except for the Look Good, Feel Better program, which has a limited capacity. Click here to view a complete calendar listing of classes and support groups.

The Cancer Resource Center also provides informative materials, including educational videos, books, and pamphlets. Patients and family members can stop by the Center to pick up materials during regular business hours or can arrange an appointment by calling 623.561.7123.
